Hoi An is packed with things to do. There’s something for everyone whether you’re here for just a couple of days or two weeks, whether it’s a relaxing getaway you’re after, or an action-packed adventure. There are excursions, tours and activities to give you something to write home about.
Stroll the pedestrian-only streets, perusing the historical buildings and bridges throughout the old town. Rejuvenate by visiting one of the multitude of spas in Hoi An offering every treatment imaginable, from Swedish to Thai massage, hot stones, reflexology, pedicures, manicures and facials. Hire a bike and cycle through the rice fields to Cua Dai Beach to mingle with the local fisherman, or take a vegetable garden tour and find out just what kind of greens you are ingesting. Take a boat trip over the river to see clay pottery houses, cycle through the local farms and paddies, or enroll in an early morning cooking class and learn how to make some local specialties.
Twenty minutes up the road from Hoi An is Marble Mountain, where you can visit a multitude of caves and shrines. Some tours even offer abseiling through the center.
If you are feeling a little more adventurous, take a dive or snorkel trip to Cham Islands, or jump on a motorbike and explore the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. Get the adrenalin pumping with paragliding or hire a jet ski to really explore An Bang Beach, one of the world’s top 100 beaches.
