Hay Hay is a new art collective in Hoi An that uses local artists to create contemporary art pieces. Each artwork is used in a series of design products such as stationary, cards, home wares and canvas art, perfect for gifts or lasting memories of Vietnam.
The idea of Hay Hay was to create something new and unique, using artist found throughout Vietnam, providing each artist with a steady income to pursue a creative career. Many Vietnamese artists do not have the outlet to make a living from what they love to do so Hay Hay was created so these artists and ideas could be celebrated. The store itself is a work of art in progress. A huge chandelier made from branches, Vietnamese hats cascading down rope, a beautifully tiled floor and more art installations always evolving. Hay Hay’s future objective is to harbor more exciting local artists, support local art projects and establish a base where artists, locals and tourists can buy affordable souvenirs with a difference.
The words ‘Hay Hay’ means beautiful and interesting in a creative way so come and check out the store by the famous Japanese Bridge and take home a little piece of Vietnam.
